The Importance of Purpose

Without purpose in our lives there is no will to live. The more purpose we have and create the longer and more fullfilling our lives become. Though it is the right purpose that we will prosper. Knowing what our purpose is the continual questioned journey of our lives.
Many of us go through life unknowingly, always looking for purpose and answers to our existance. Some how we get caught up in the wealth measurement of life, over looking the simple humanistic needs. Our attempts to survive pay day to pay day are not fullfilling thus we move into the collection of material wealth. We strive for more, collecting wealth and materials to give pleasure to our existance. This pleasure is short lived and we move on wanting more, working for more, spending more and saving for more. Even the rich and famous find the pleasures of there success limiting to there overall happiness. HELLO! Ever wonder why your holiday to Brazil or your new SUV does not carry your contentment into the next decade of your life?
This is something that festers with me. Even as a child, I despised our cultural nature of accumlating stuff. Although I faulter in this area as we all do, I have come to realize that my soul requires more.
I need to have a purpose of attainment of simple humanitarian qualities. I want to be rich in generousity, kindness. I want my accounts filled with friends and family. My treasures of knowledge and talent. My jewels made from honesty and virtue.
Somehow if my life has this purpose, and I strive to accumulate these riches I shall always have purpose. I shall see my sidewalk turn to gold. The rain drops fall like diamonds. The sun shine like silk, and flowers bloom of rubies. My richness in my soul can never be overspend and I shall share it with the world. No fear of it overspending, no interest being paid. For this investment is a sure thing. Don't you agree?
