You And I
Here I sit,
Upon this bench.
Alone.
In the park.
My shoes torn..
My body cold.
Nothing I have.
Nothing I own.
Perhaps my soul.
Then you come.
You sit.
I look at you and smile.
You turn away.
Your fine shoes.
Your leather coat.
I gesture with my hand.
You depart.
As though I may be a rabid dog.
But I know,
We Know.
You shall die just as I.
